Biography: Daisuke Ito is a Senior Materials Researcher in Advanced Materials Laboratories, Sony Corporation. He received his Ph.D degree in Applied Materials Science at Osaka Prefecture University, Japan in 2003. During 2009~2012, he was the co-director of Nanoscience Open Research Initiative (Sony-UofO joint-open laboratory) in University of Oregon, USA. Then, he was awarded a Distinguished Researcher, Sony Corporation during 2014~2015. Currently, his research areas are focusing on greener manufacturing of functional nanomaterials and its utilization.
